How to order from Yumetenbo ~

this article will be updated soon, I just added it for the sake of completeness! ^^

Since so many of you come to my page by googling "Yumetenbo" and Kitai asked me how to order I'm writing a small guide. Hope you enjoy! ^^ There's an updated Article about Yumetenbo here
First of all, if you don't want to pay extra for a shopping service you shouldn't order from the Yumetenbo store but from the Rakuten Yumetenbo Store (don't worry, there's nearly no difference between the 'main' store and the rakuten one - only that the 'main' webpage looks much cuter, but the items stay the same!.
Rakuten hosts many, many different shops and offers oversea shipping. So to order from the Rakuten Yumetenbo Store you will have to register on Rakuten! ^_^ notice: You'll need a credit card First of all, go to the Yumetenbo rakuten page: http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/dreamv/

LET'S COOK : Bibimbap (비빔밥) ~

Today I'm gonna show you how to cook Bibimbap, which basically is just vegetables (and maybe some meat) mixed with rice and red pepper paste. It's the first Korean dish I got my (very proud! ;P) Chinese boyfriend to eat and love and he's been asking me to cook Bibimbap often so I'm quite an 'expert' now... *haha* You're gonna need to get some of the ingredients from a Korean/Asia-Store.
  • (cooked) rice
  • Zucchini
  • Shiitake (or other) mushrooms
  • Bean sprouts
  • Carrots
  • Eggs
  • Sesame Oil
  • Soy Sauce
  • Sugar
  • Minced Garlic

LET'S COOK : Jjajangmyeon (짜장면) ~

Today I cooked Jjajangmyeon for the first time >.<'' It turned out quite well, but I cooked too much... XD This is my first attempt at posting a recipe, if you find if hard to follow or have any suggestions on how to make it better, don't hesitate to leave a comment!
  • Noodles (Udon Noodles)
  • Black Bean Paste
  • Sliced Pork Meat
  • (Sweet) Potato
  • Zucchini
  • Onion
  • +
  • Starch Powder (Potato or corn)
  • Olive Oil & Sesame Oil
  • Sugar
chop all the meat, potatoes, zucchini and onion into small cubes.
add some olive oil to a wok, fry the meat till it's brown.
after that, drain the oil, but leave the meat in the wok.
add a bit of olive oil and then add potatoes, zucchini and onions to the wok and saute for some minutes. add 2-3 cups of water (the ingredients should submerged with water) -- the ingredients and the water corresponds to the amount of sauce you'll have in the end, so don't cook too much! ;D
cover the wok and boil for about 15min

in the meantime: Heat some vegetable oil in a pan, add 6 tsb of black bean paste and fry it for 1-2min - after that, drain the excessive oil and put the black bean paste aside for later
prepare a pot with water to cook the noodles! :)
try a potato to see if the ingredients are fully cooked, if it's the case, add the black bean paste to the wok mix 3tbs of starch with some water and then add it to the wok. mix it, and soon you'll notice that the sauce is turning stickier ^.^ *yummy*
add some sugar to the wok (I love the sweet taste so I put 1-2tbs)
when the noodles are cooked (the udon noodles take only 2-3min, other might take 10+), drain the water and put them on your plates.
put the finished sauce on the noodles and garnish with some sliced cucumber (not really needed, but adds a nice flavour - you can also add a hardboiled egg on the top)

the chopped ingredients

posing with the finished jjajangmyeon ♥
